December, 25th

For our last day we invite you to a New Year Reflection and Intention-Setting Exercise. Take some time to sit in a quiet, comfortable space with a journal or piece of paper. Light a candle, play soothing music, or hold a meaningful object to set the tone if you wish.

Part 1: Reflection on the Past Year

Spend a few minutes reflecting on the year that has passed. Write your answers to the following prompts:

  1. Gratitude: What are 3 things you are most grateful for from the past year?

  2. Proud Moments: What accomplishments, big or small, are you proud of this year?

  3. Challenges: What challenges did you face, and what did they teach you about yourself?

  4. Lessons Learned: What is one key lesson or realization you want to carry forward from this year?

Take a deep breath, and thank yourself for the experiences you’ve had—both joyful and difficult.

Part 2: Intention-Setting for the New Year

Now, turn your attention to the year ahead. Answer these prompts:

  1. Feelings: How do you want to feel in the coming year (e.g., joyful, balanced, confident)?

  2. Focus: What are 1-3 areas of your life you want to prioritize this year (e.g., health, relationships, creativity)?

  3. Intentions: Write 1-3 intentions for the year. Begin each one with “I intend to…” (e.g., “I intend to nourish my body with healthy food and movement.”)

  4. Support: What resources, habits, or people can help you bring these intentions to life?

Closing Practice

To seal your reflections and intentions, close your eyes and take 3 slow, deep breaths. Picture yourself at the end of the new year, having lived in alignment with your intentions. Notice how this vision feels in your body.

When you’re ready, write one word that sums up your hopes for the new year. Keep it somewhere visible as a reminder of your intentions.
